this paintings are part of a new series using an exquisitely prepared linen ‘skin’ using 8 coats of the finest lead oil ground.  these are a study of Japanese Principles based on Zen and the concept of Shibui : the last instruction from my beloved teacher Peter Nisbet.

they are sold as paintings on linen and will require stretching on application to a rigid panel which I recommend
