Breaking Ground

Remember the breaking of the ground.

A harbinger of the new day. For me, that new day was prophesied in Washington DC. While there for a Rothko show, I saw my first Jackson Pollock piece: Lavender Mist. I knew I loved it in a way that was primal and guttural, and not just for the sake of being knowledgable about art. I was just really digging the work.

This is a sensual piece of art. It has muscle and body. It has surprises and grit. It is totally believable as a window into our true home.
